2009 European Global Challenge
DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton volleyball's Rachel Krabacher has been selected to compete in the 2009 European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia for the USA/BIP Development program.
The Global Challenge runs from July 20-23 and includes 12 teams representing six different countries. The team is comprised of a handful of volleyball standouts in the NCAA. A round robin tournament between the Americans and the Europeans will determine the Brijuni and Istra Divisions.
"This is a great opportunity, and should be a terrific experience, for Rachel," said University of Dayton head coach Kelly Sheffield. "She will be playing with and against some big-time players and will also get a chance to see some parts of the world that she has never been to. She has been working her tail off this summer and I know she is looking forward to strutting her stuff in Europe."
