Lang’s athleticism proved vital for the Flyers in the pentathlon (indoor) and the heptathlon (outdoor). In indoor she set a personal best in the pentathlon with 3,418 points. This was good enough for second place. This performance was highlighted by personal bests in the 800m (2:28.16) and the 60m hurdles (9.39). She also had the best long jump out of anyone in the pentathlon with a jump of 5.62m. Her outdoor season was also a success. She set a personal best in the heptathlon with a score of 4,532 at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships placing third. Lang set three personal bests to achieve this score: the 200m (25.78), 100m hurdles (15.45) and the javelin (22.74).
Lang proved to be an all around athlete as she participated in nine different events for the Flyers throughout the indoor season. Seven of these events are personal bests. Four of these came at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships. Her best finish came in the long jump. Lang placed fifth with a length of 4.99m. Lang would go on to compete in the heptathlon in the outdoor season. Her best finish came at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships where she scored 3,674 points in the heptathlon finishing in sixth place. At the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships she set a personal record in the heptathlon for points scored with 3,889. This awarded her a seventh place finish in the competition.
Lang is a gifted three-event competitor (60m, 100m, 200m) and a former level-ten gymnast. She served as a team captain and holds personal records of 8.35 (60), 12.60 (100) and 26.90 (200). Her 100-meter time of 12.60 carved her a first-place finish at the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic League AA/AAA qualifier meet in 2009.
