Henderson had a successful freshman year and was poised to continue this success. Henderson would set a personal best in the 60m dash at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic. She would prove vital to team success when it came time for the Atlantic 10 Championships. She was a member of the 1600 Meter Relay team that would place seventh. She placed second in the 200m dash. Her time of 25.36 was good enough to earn her a spot on the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team. Henderson continued to perform well in the sprints as the season transitioned from indoor to outdoor. Her best event was the 200m dash but she was a valuable member of multiple relays for the Flyers. At the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships Henderson participated in the 200m dash, 4x100m relay as well as the 4x400m relay. She placed sixth in the 200 and helped the Flyers place fourth in the 4x100 and eighth in the 4x400.
Big things were expected from Henderson and she did not disappoint in her freshman campaign. She finished the Indoor season with the eighth best time in the conference in the 200 Meter Run. She also placed fourth at the A-10 Indoor Championships for the 200 Meter Run. She ran a time of 25.6 seconds. She was able to post the 11th fastest time in the conference for the 200 Meter Run during the outdoor season. She ended up with an eighth place finish in this same event during the Championship meet.
