Final Results

OXFORD, Ohio - The University of Dayton track team captured wins in two events at the Miami Redhawk Invitational on Saturday. UD placed first in the hammer throw, while also having three participants tie for first in the Pole Vault.

Aly Weeman won the Hammer Throw with a toss of 170-06 (51.98). Renee Otte and Samm Hortsman placed fourth and fifth respectively with throws of 154-09 (47.18) and 148-06 (45.26).  Hortsman’s distance was a new personal record.

Ashley DeMange, Katrina Steinhauser and Hanna Krizmanic each tied for first with a height of 11-11.75 (3.65m) in the pole vault. Sarah Gaskell placed sixth with a mark of 10-11.75 (3.35m). DeMange tied her personal best in the pole vault.

Rebecca Maj placed second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.66. In the 400 meter hurdles, Mariah Curtis finished with a time of 1:11.60.

Joceyln Abron placed third in the long jump. Abron had a mark of 16-10.00 (5.13m). Maddi Schmidt was fourth, jumping 16-09.25 (5.11m). Abron’s mark was a new personal record.

Julie Kolodziej was third in the javelin throw. Kolodziej had a throw of 97-02.00 (29.61m).

Lauren Clark placed seventh in the 800 meter run. Clark had a time of 2:21.36. Kelsey McDonald was eighth with a time of 2:24.22. Taylor Beyerle was ninth after finishing in 2:25.04.

Dayton will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 at UMass in Amherst, Mass.
