Dayton Flyers

<P><B>Jan. 22, 2009</B> <P> <!-- LINKS TO RELATED PAGES BEGIN --> <!-- LINKS TO RELATED PAGES END --> <P> The meet this past weekend at Kent State was quite enjoyable. Even though I'm injured, it is great that I still get to travel with the team and cheer them on. We left Friday evening to travel up to Kent and spent the night, which is always a good time. On the bus, we watched movies and arrived pretty late. Once the rooms were split up, we got settled in and hung out with each other before heading to bed. <P><A HREF="http://www.fansonly.com/schools/dayt/sports/w-track/mtt/mccarty_molly00.html" >Molly McCarty</a> and I roomed with <A HREF="http://www.fansonly.com/schools/dayt/sports/w-track/mtt/kremer_amy00.html" >Amy Kremer</a>. Since both of them had the first events, (weight throw and long jump) we got up at 6:45 to eat breakfast and get ready for the day ahead ... got to love the Holiday Inn Express breakfast! All of us left our hotel around 8:45 and headed for the meet. We had never been up to Kent State and the facility was really nice which allowed for some fantastic performances throughout the day. Our team had 31 top ten finishes! It was definitely a successful day. <P>This meet helped me realize even more that our team is on the brink of greatness.
