DAYTON, Ohio - A pair of University of Dayton freshman tennis players were named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Women's tennis player Loni Dickerhoof received the honor for the second time this spring, while Austin Wiegand earned his first award for the men's team.

He posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Ohio Dominican at No. 4 singles on Feb. 18 before extending his singles win streak to five matches with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Northern Kentucky on Feb. 20.

Dickerhoof - who hails from Massillon, Ohio - earned a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 singles victory at No. 1 on Feb. 20 in Dayton's win over Northern Kentucky. Additionally, she notched an 8-1 doubles win at No. 2 on Feb. 21 against Lipscomb.

She was also named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Jan. 20, the same day Chelsea Glankler was tabbed A-10 Performer of the Week.

The men's team is back in action on Feb. 26 as they take on Duquesne in Pittsburgh, PA at 11 a.m. EST. The women will take the court on Feb. 27 to host Southern Illinois at 6 p.m. EST.
