Biography:

Barry Reed is a veteran of the Flyer coaching staff and is entering his 12th season as an assistant coach at UD. Reed will primarily work with the outfield.

Coach Reed brings with him 17 years of coaching experience from the high school level. He started coaching in 1975 for West Carrolton High School earning two league championships, four district titles, and one regional championship along the way. He began his softball career in the military and afterwards, continued his playing career independently.

Barry is retired from EG&G where he was the manager of employee relations. Reed is also a former professor at the University of Dayton where he taught business management and engineering classes.

He and his wife, Amy, have three children, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. They reside in Springboro, Ohio.
