SAN MARCOS, Texas – The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 3-0 decision to tournament host Texas State on the final day of the CenturyLink Classic. Dayton falls to 0-4 on the season, while Texas State improves to 4-5.
Junior Kathleen Maloof was 2-for-3 on Sunday. Junior Carlyn Harlow was also 2-for-3, while freshman Tiffany Ricks and senior Brandy Brown each had a hit.
Sophomore Alysha Isaacson pitched six innings for the Flyers. Isaacson had one strikeout and allowed three earned runs against the Bobcats.
Dayton returns to action on Friday at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn. UD opens the tournament against Cleveland State at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24.
