PEP TALK FROM UD ALUM JON GRUDEN IN THE STORY OF UD ATHLETICS - FLYING RIGHT

Pep talks rally teams to compete with passion and purpose -- to win. But words alone don't produce wins. You have to come together as a team and compete, and you have to do it right. Jon Gruden knows that.

As we say at the University of Dayton, you have to "fly right" to be a true winner. That means doing the right things to achieve success, like contributing to the Champions & Scholars Fund to help our student athletes. Your generous gifts help our Flyers get a top-tier education while competing for championships.

Your support immediately impacts current student athletes. These students are leaders across campus -- on the courts and in the classrooms. They show us all how to fly right, and you can help them with your support.

A great program does more than fill our hearts with pride as our athletes compete. Our program builds national awareness for our university, our mission and our continuous development as a top-tier national Catholic research university.

Gruden won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and currently serves as a color commentator on ESPN Monday Night Football.

The Dayton Flyers Champions & Scholars Fund, UD athletics comprehensive annual fund-raising initiative, continues its initial membership drive.

The increased resources generated by the Champions & Scholars Fund help improve the athletic department’s standing on a national level of and increase visibility for the University of Dayton.
