<P><B>KISSIMMEE, Fla. - </B>
The University of Dayton Flyers extended their winning streak to three with a 4-3 extra innings win over the Columbia Lions at the Rebel Games on Tuesday.
<P><A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/crabtree_blair00.html" >Blair Crabtree</a> led the Flyers with two runs in four at-bats followed by <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/lee_megan00.html" >Megan Lee</a> who was 1-for-3 and had two RBI's.
<P><A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/rappe_eva00.html" >Eva Rappe</a> picked up her third win this season in 1.1 innings pitched, striking out one batter.
<P>"Having Eva come in and finish off the game was huge for us," Clark said. "Erin [Lafayette] pitched great for us throughout the game."
<P>With the win the Flyers move to .500 on the season with eight wins and eight losses. While <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/rappe_eva00.html" >Eva Rappe</a> collects her fifth collegiate win as a Flyer.
<P>The Flyers got off to an early start at the hands of an <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/maci_anne00.html" >Anne Maci</a> double that brought <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/schrank_mollie00.html" >Mollie Schrank</a> home for the first tally.
<P>The Lions roared back with a run of their own in the third inning but the Flyer offense kicked into high gear notching a pair of runs on <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/lee_megan00.html" >Megan Lee's</a> double to right center field.
<P>"Megan's solid hitting was important in our win today," Clark said.
<P>Columbia knotted it up in the top of the seventh with a single to left field that drove in two runners forcing the game into extra innings.
<P><A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/crabtree_blair00.html" >Blair Crabtree</a> crossed the plate for the winning run scoring on a wild pitch by the Lions.
<p>In the second game, Dayton knocked off Manhattan in a matinee 2-1 thriller. <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/rappe_eva00.html" >Eva Rappe</a> picked up her fourth win of the season in the contest allowing only four hits.
<P>"Eva giving up four hits is one of the best performances she has had all year," said coach <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/clark_cara00.html" >Cara Clark</a>. "She was in control of the game from start to finish."
<P>The Flyers move above .500 with the win, giving them a 9-8 record this season. Dayton has also taken wins in eight of the last nine contests they have played in.
<P><A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/falk_allie00.html" >Allie Falk</a> was 1-2 on the day driving in the game-winning run on a double. <A HREF="http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/schrank_mollie00.html" >Mollie Schrank</a> also posted a 3-for-4 outing against the Jaspers.
<P>"Allie's double to bring home Emily [Stegeman] was huge," Clark said.
