AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Sophomore Colleen Williams struck again for the University of Dayton women’s soccer team, scoring the game-winning goal in the Flyers’ 1-0 win over Oakland Sunday.
It’s her third game-winning goal and fourth overall this season. Freshman Juliana Libertin provided the game-winning assist in the 77th minute, crossing the ball into the box and Williams headed it to the back of the net.
Senior Lisa Rodgers had three saves in goal for Dayton and notched her third shutout in as many starts.
The Flyers improve to 4-2 overall, while Oakland drops to 1-4.
Dayton will play in the Penn Invitational Sept. 10-12. The Flyers play Lehigh on Friday, Sept. 10 and the hosts Penn on Sunday.
