BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Grace Nikolai shot a first round 76 to place in a tie for third among individuals after the first round of the 2012 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.

Nikolai's 76 in round one matches her season low. She shot a 40 on the front nine and a 36 on the back.

The sophomore from Kettering, Ohio is just three strokes back of the lead.

Lucy Frey also had a strong first round firing an 81. Frey had a 39 on the front nine and a 42 on the back. She is tied for 23rd after the first 18 holes of play.

Kelly Coakley and Maggie Prokop each shot an 86 in the first round. Coakley improved from a 44 in her first nine holes to shoot a 42 on the back nine. Prokop carded a 43 on both the front and back nine.

Kelly Muskat shot an 87 to round out the scoring.

The Flyers as a team had a 329 total and are in eighth.

The second and final round will take place on Sunday, April 15 with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
