NORMAL, Ill. – Against a field of 97 competitors, University of Dayton senior Clara Ang is tied for sixth overall after the first two rounds of the 2011 Redbird Invitational.

Ang is six over par after shooting back-to-back rounds of 75. She is also six strokes away from the lead.

As a team, the Flyers are in 11th out of 17 squads. UD shot a 323 in the first round and an identical score in the second.

Maggie Prokop was next for the Flyers shooting back-to-back scores of 82. Prokop is tied for 47th overall.

Erin Peavy was two strokes behind Prokop after carding an 84 in the first round and an 84 in the second.

Heather Jorgensen shot an 82 on her first 18 holes of play, but added an 88 in the second round. Kelly Coakley bounced back from a 91 in round one to shoot an 82 in the second.

Competing as an individual, Grace Nikolai carded rounds of 84 and 90.

The third and final round will take place with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start from the the Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill.
