Emily Zimmerman was the third member of a strong freshman class, and contributed right away for the Flyers. The freshman ran a season best time of 19:20 at the National Catholic Invitational, where the Flyers placed second as team and also posted two other sub-20 minute times during the fall campaign. She scored for the Flyers as the fifth runner at the Meijer Flyer 5K to open up the season.

Member of the 2004, '05, '06 Archbishop Alter cross country team that finished as state runner-ups each year...In 2007, Zimmerman helped lead her high school cross country team in winning the state championship...Served as the team's head captain her senior year...Three-year varsity letterwinner in track...Named Academic All-Ohio three-years straight in both cross country and track...Was sixth in her class and earned academic honors with distinction all four years at Archbishop.
