A season-opening six-game road stretch will conclude Sunday when the Flyer women's basketball team visits San Diego for a 4 p.m. ET tipoff. Fans can follow the action with Gametracker and FREE Live Video at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

Dayton is off to a 3-2 start this season with three of its first five games decided by single digits. The Flyers pulled out a one-point road victory at Wisconsin-Milwaukee behind a pair of free throws with 14.4 seconds left by Karah Cloxton as well as some solid defense.

UD held UW-M to just 20-for-56 shooting (.357) from the field overall while tallying seven blocks, pulling down 14 offensive rebounds and taking away nine steals. Overall this season, the Flyers are averaging 4.4 blocks per game, 10.0 steals per game and a +4.8 rebounds per game advantage while allowing only 64.0 points per game to the opposition.

Senior forward Nikki Oakland returns to San Diego as UD's leader in rebounding this season (6.0 rpg) and ranks second on the team in scoring (11.0 ppg), field goal percentage (.500) and blocks (4). She has scored in double figures twice already this season with 20 points at New Mexico and 16 against Loyola-Chicago. Oakland has also collected at least five rebounds in all but one game this season including a season-high nine in the season opener versus Northwestern.

Classmate Kiki Lund provides offensive support on the perimeter with 8.6 ppg on the strength of 45.5 percent shooting from three-point range. She put up a season-high 15 points while connecting on 5-for-7 shooting from downtown in the victory over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Following Sunday's game, UD will return home for the first of three straight games at UD Arena on Thursday. The Flyers will play host to the Cincinnati Bearcats. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
