"We have some talented kids who played hard. The things that are fixable are very fixable. I'm pleased that we looked for each other. We ran hard and some shots were short. That's a process of our conditioning and also just playing faster. The kids have to learn how to shoot when playing faster. I was generally pleased."

On how the team looked this early
"I thought that Sam did a pretty good job. I thought that Olivia did some good things, and Brittany Wilson looked really strong in the post. I think everyone showed a little glimpse of something today. Overall, I was pleased. It was a good indicator of figuring where we are and what we need to fix."

"I think that we're going to do really well this year. I think we'll be really strong and compete well."

"I am very excited [about playing Michigan State and Louisville] because I look at it as an opportunity for us to get better. There's nothing better than competing against the best. It will show us how good we are."

"I think it's an amazing feeling to play against teams that are supposed to be in the top 25 because just a year ago I was in high school."

"I thought we came out really strong. We were running the floor. That's our emphasis this year. We want to push the pace, and I thought we did a good job of that. We have some new offenses put in, and we were getting through those."

"There's always something to improve on. You want to keep the pace going the whole game and stay consistent. We need to work on that a little bit."
