DAYTON, Ohio - The Freshmen trio of Casey Nance, Justine Raterman, and De'Sarae Chambers led the University of Dayton women's basketball team past Fordham in a 82-45 blowout Tuesday night at UD Arena.

Nance led all scorers with a career-high 21 points, finishing an impressive 10-of-11 from the floor. Chambers scored 16 points, hitting 4-of-6 shots from the three-point line and Raterman added 14 points in the Dayton victory.

The Flyers improve to 15-10 overall and 4-5 in Atlantic 10 play with the win, while Fordham drops to 14-11 (3-6).

As a team Dayton out -shot Fordham 53 to 28 percent from the floor and 53 to 24 from three point range. The Flyers are 11-0 this season when shooting at least 40 percent from the field.

No Fordham player reached double-digits in scoring. Annie Zopf led the team with nine points on the night.

Nance won the game's opening tip and didn't look back scoring ten of her 21 points in the first four minutes of play. Nance's play fueled a 23-4 Dayton run to start the game, from which Fordham was never able to recover.

The Flyers shot 62 percent from the field in the first frame, nailing 4-of-6 shots from beyond the arc.

Dayton entered the break with a 48-22 lead.

The second half was much of the same as the Flyers continued to build on their lead, which they held for the entire game. Dayton led by as many as 42 points on the night.

The Flyers will take to the road Sunday to play its biggest rival in the nationally-ranked Xavier Musketeers. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
