TicketExchange is Ticketmaster's new online service that enables premium and fan-to-fan transactions. Buyers simply select the ticket(s) they want based on price and seat location, without having to bid against other buyers, without having to coordinate delivery from anonymous sellers, and without the gamble that the tickets are legitimate. Sellers are guaranteed payment for tickets sold, without having to collect payment or deliver the tickets to the buyer. Another soon-to-be release feature, called "Ticket Forwarding," will allow ticket holders to forward tickets to their friends, family and clients via e-mail. The process can be done up to two hours before the game and avoids the need for overnight or in-person delivery. This is accomplished by the use of a unique barcode on each ticket that will be scanned at UD Arena gates this season. During the forwarding process, the barcode on the original season ticket is cancelled and a new one is issued electronically. The recipient is sent a new ticket via TicketFast(r) with a unique barcode that can be printed right away. Only Ticketmaster can guarantee 100 percent legitimate tickets, because the tickets sold through TicketExchange are linked to Ticketmaster's ticketing systems. If you buy tickets that are sold through a source other than Ticketmaster, you have no way of knowing whether they are counterfeit or have been invalidated. However with Ticketmaster, once you buy a ticket, we cancel the original barcode and assign you a new one, so you have the security of knowing for certain the ticket being delivered to you is valid.
