PHILADELPHIA - Senior Michelle Griffin was named to the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday in voting conducted by the conference's sports information directors.

Griffin (Lancaster, OH) ran to a team-best 31st place finish at the A-10 Championships this season and has been the Flyers' top finisher in every meet this season. She has broken the 20-minute barrier all four years at the A-10 Championship Meet with her best time of 19:24 coming this year.

Griffin, a pre-medicine major, has a 3.52 GPA and has been named to the A-10 Academic Honor Roll in each of the previous three years.

The UD women's cross country team will conclude its 2004 season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Ypsilanti, MI on Saturday.
