DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton women's cross country freshman Alex Miles was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after leading the Flyers at the All Ohio Championship Race on Friday.

The underclassman posted a time of 19.41.9 at the meet placing 48th overall and helped lead her team to a 14th place finish. The Fairview, Ohio native also recorded her season best time at the meet.

Miles has led her team in the last two races and has consistently improved her 5k time throughout the season.

It is the first Atlantic 10 honor the women's cross country team has been awarded this year.

Alex Miles and the rest of the women's team will compete at the Falcon Invite in Bowling Green, Ohio on October 14th.
