Lindsey Cummings was able to step in and contribute right away for the Flyers during her rookie season, as the freshman finished amongst the top seven Flyers seven times in all eight races. Cummings posted a season best time of 19:09 at the Greater Louisville Classic, where she placed 96th overall in a tough pack of runners. Her best finish of the year came at the Queen City Invitational, where she ran to a 15th place finish, which helped Dayton take second as a team.

High School
In cross country was named All-Conference and All-Region her junior and senior years...Voted cross country team's "hardest worker"...Named All-Region, All-State, and All-American in track, also during her junior and senior seasons...Was a member of the 4x8 relay team that won gold at the Div. I State Championships...Four-year honor roll member at Saline High School.
