PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Dayton volleyball team dispatched of Southern Illinois in three games Saturday at the Pittsburgh Classic at Fitzgerald Fieldhouse. The Flyers won 30-23, 30-23, 30-14 behind 16 kills from Faye Barhorst (Ft. Loramie, OH).

Barhorst continued her blistering hitting, with a .591 percentage for the match. In her last nine matches beginning with a .737 performance against West Virginia, Barhorst has posted percentages over .400 six times, including the last four straight.

Christy Utnage (Indianapolis, IN) added 10 kills and six digs. Adrienne Green (Palatine, IL) pulled out eight digs, while Nicole Schott (Roscoe, IL) had seven to go with 30 assists.

The Flyers are 7-5 on the season and face host Pittsburgh in the finale of the Pittsburgh Classic later tonight.
