PHILADELPHIA - University of Dayton outside hitter Christy Utnage (Indianapolis, IN) was named Atlantic 10 Volleyball Player of the Week Tuesday after she was named the Most Valuable Player of the Flyer Invitational this past weekend.

Utnage took home Flyer Invitational MVP honors for the second-straight year. The senior outside hitter tallied 55 kills in the tournament and 32 digs while hitting .376 for the tourney.

In the 2003 tournament, posted 48 kills and 39 digs as the Flyers swept the tournament. Over the last two years, that's 103 kills and 71 digs in six matches -- just 21 Flyer Invitational games.

Dayton swept the Flyer Invitational with wins over Coastal Carolina (3-1), Tennessee Tech (3-1) and West Virginia (3-0). Setter Nicole Schott joined Utnage from UD on the All-Tournament Team.

The Flyers are 3-1 on the season and faces Butler Tuesday night at the Frericks Center.
