Coming off one of the biggest weekend's in its history, the University of Dayton volleyball team was ranked 23rd in this week's CSTV/AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Monday. UD (6-0) is ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in program history heading into a 7 p.m. ET meeting with Cincinnati on Tuesday at Frericks Center.

Dayton earned 169 votes in this week's poll after receiving two votes last week. In last week's action, the Flyers were 3-0 at the Mortar Board Premier beginning with a 3-0 win over then-#17 Purdue. UD also defeated Utah (which earned 16 votes this week) and North Carolina in back-to-back five-game matches.

The Flyers are the first Atlantic 10 Conference team to be ranked in the Top 25 since #25 Temple was ranked in the final two weeks of the 2002 poll. The last A-10 member to be ranked during the regular season was Penn State in 1990.

Dayton has now received votes six times in program history including five occasions in the past two seasons. UD picked up six votes at the end of the 2003 season after an upset of Michigan State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Dayton was among those receiving votes in the first three polls of the 2006 season including a then-program record 28 votes on Sept. 11, 2006.

UD returns to action on Tuesday with a non-conference match against Cincinnati. The Flyers take on the Bearcats at Frericks Center beginning at 7 p.m. ET in a match that can be followed with Gametracker and Live Video for FREE at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
