  • Dayton Volleyball had its best season in modern history in 2007 with a 33-2 record that included an Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship, Atlantic 10 Tournament Title and a berth in the NCAA Second Round.

  • UD has won four of the last five Atlantic 10 Tournament Titles (2003, 2004, 2005, 2007) and each of the last four Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championships (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). Only one other team in Atlantic 10 history has won more consecutive A-10 Regular Season titles than Dayton.


  • The Flyers vaulted into the national spotlight last season and were ranked as high as 12th in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll at one point. UD was ranked in the final 15 of 17 polls during the 2007 season.

  • The University of Dayton is one of just three schools in the AVCA Top 25 Poll with an enrollment of less than 9,500.

  • Dayton ranked in the Top 40 nationally in attendance in 2007 with an average crowd of 1,005 fans per match at Frericks Center, which is the third-largest volleyball-only facility in the nation.

  • UD played host to the NCAA First and Second Rounds at Frericks Center in 2007 playing in front of sold-out crowds on both days.

  • The Flyers have appeared in the NCAA Tournament four times since 2003 including berths in the Second Round in both 2003 and 2007.


  • Dayton has been home to eight AVCA All-America honors including the 1979 Broderick Cup winner Ann Meyers and three-time AVCA Honorable Mention All-America recipient Faye Barhorst. UD has won 21 AVCA All-Region honors.

  • UD has also been the most dominant program in recent history of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Dayton has won 36 All-Conference honors including six Atlantic 10 Player of the Year awards, two Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year honors and five Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year awards.
