PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton Flyers picked up a three-set sweep (25-9, 25-15, 25-17) over the La Salle Explorers. Dayton improves to 11-1 in the Atlantic 10 and 21-3 overall and remains in first in the conference.

"I thought it was a good weekend in Philadelphia for us," said head coach Kelly Sheffield. "Our team competed hard and we were able to work on a few things tonight and we executed."

The Flyers sided-out near 79 percent on Monday. Dayton's attack efficiency clocked in at .402 while its strong defense yielded five total blocks on the day. The Explorers were held to a .120 attack efficiency in the match.

Junior outside hitter Amanda Cowdrey led the attack with 14 kills for Dayton. Cowdrey also tied the team-lead adding two service aces. Rachel Krabacher, this week's rookie of the week, had a pair of service aces and five digs.

All-American middle blocker Lindsay Fletemier posted a .684 attack efficiency in a 13-for-19 effort Monday night. Fletemier also had one solo block and two block assists. Middle blocker Becky Novacek had nine kills on 14 attempts for a .643 attack percentage.

Freshman libero Paige Vargas had 13 digs. Setters Kacie Hausfeld and Hannah Clancy combined for 36 of Dayton's 40 assists. Hausfeld tallied 21 while Clancy had 15.
