KINGSTON, RI - Visiting Dayton dominated in a 3-0 (30-20, 30-12, 30-16) sweep of Rhode Island in an Atlantic 10 Volleyball West Division matchup on Sunday. With the win, the Flyers (20-6, 10-1 A-10) secured a berth in the Atlantic 10 Championships, which will be held at UD's own Frericks Center on Nov. 17-19.

Dayton, the three-time defending Atlantic 10 Champions, earned its seventh consecutive trip to the A-10 postseason and sixth straight 20-win season with the win over the Rams.

Senior All-America candidate Faye Barhorst paced the Flyers with match-highs of seven blocks and 14 kills while hitting at a .571 clip. She is UD's all-time leader in all three statistical categories.

Dayton dominated on both sides of the net with a .385 to .078 advantage in hitting percentage and a 11.0-3.0 lead in blocks.

Redshirt sophomore Erin Schroeder dished out 32 assists to go along with 12 digs while sophomore Nicole Bateman finished just one kill shy of her fourth straight double-double with nine kills and 13 digs.

Junior libero Adrienne Green led all players with 14 digs and three service aces for the Flyers which won for the 22nd time in their last 23 conference regular season matches.
