University of Dayton junior Kelly Pohlman has been named to the 2005 Academic All-Atlantic 10 Track & Field Team, it was announced Tuesday. It is the second straight season that Pohlman was named to the conference all-academic team.

Pohlman has won the two consecutive A-10 shot put titles. At this year's Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Pohlman placed first in the shot put, second in the discus and third in the hammer throw. She has qualified in the shot for the NCAA Mideast Regional meet that will be held May 27-28 in Bloomington, Indiana.

A psychology major from Versailles, Ohio, Pohlman has also been nominated for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America team.
