PHILADELPHIA, PA - UD senior thrower Kelly Pohlman was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team Tuesday. The six-time Atlantic 10 Shot Put Champion makes the team for the third-straight year.

The Most Outstanding Field Performer of the 2006 A-10 Indoor Championship, Pohlman owns a 3.79 GPA in Psychology.

On the field, she is a two-time A-10 Weight Throw Champion. Three of her A-10 shot put titles have come in Indoor, three in Outdoor. This past season, she finished third in A-10 in discus and hammer in outdoor.

She is also the UD school record holder in the hammer throw and the weight throw.

Unlike years past, the Atlantic 10 named one Academic Team for Track & Field, instead of an Indoor Track team and an Outdoor Track team. Pohlman had been named to both the Indoor and Outdoor Teams in each of the two previous seasons. Freshmen are not eligible.

UD placed fourth at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship, the highest mark in the program's history.

Pohlman and teammate Amy Kremer qualified for the NCAAA Mideast Regional on May 26-27, in Knoxville, TN.
