DAYTON, Ohio - Dayton sophomore Sarah Allen has been named to the Atlantic 10 Women's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league on Wednesday. Owner of a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as a psychology major, Allen won the shot put title at the Conference Championships earlier in the month.

The Springboro, Ohio native tossed 46-03.25 in the shot put to be named First Team All-Atlantic 10. Allen boasts one of the highest GPA's on the team and is a member of both the Dean's List and the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

She finished second in the shot put (44-09.00) at the A-10 Indoor Championships, only second to fellow teammate Johnna Zaccari. In addition, Allen helped lead Dayton's track & field team to its best ever finish of second place in both Championships this season.

Allen has posted eight of the 20 best throws for a Flyer in the shot put this year and has finished third or better in every meet except for one.
