PHILADELPHIA - Freshman Lauren McCormick was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Week on Monday following a pair of personal best times on Saturday.

She was the fastest of three Flyers to record personal bests in the 100-meter dash at a time of 12.04. McCormick was also the top UD finisher in the 200-meter dash with another personal-best mark of 25.02.

Previously, McCormick had recorded a season-best time of 12.40 in the 100-meter dash at the Hurricane Inviational to open the Outdoor season on March 17. Her best collegiate mark in the 200-meter dash was a 25.55 at the All-Ohio Championships on April 21.

Dayton heads to Charlotte, NC this weekend for the 2007 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Championships. UD will look to improve upon its fourth place finish at the 2006 A-10 Championships, which was the best-ever finish in program history.
