Dayton, OH - Ranking 22nd in the NCAA's top 25 women's shot put distances of the outdoor season, Senior Kelly Pohlman (Versailles, OH) is kicking off her last outdoor track season as a Flyer with a bang.

At the Shamrock Invitational at Coastal Carolina University on March 17 and 18 Pohlman qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regionals with a shot put heave of 48'1.75". This gained her second place in the event and a career best at the meet.

Also at the Shamrock Invitational, Pohlman participated in the hammer throw, throwing her career best with a distance of 155'8", and the discus throwing a 135'11".

Pohlman also leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in the shot put, is second in the hammer throw, and is third in the discus, with her performances at the Shamrock Invitational.

The NCAA Mideast Regional will be held in Knoxville, Tenn., May 26 and 27.
