DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton track and field team continued their record-breaking ways at the All-Ohio Championship meet on Friday and Saturday as nine Flyers recorded personal records. Dayton collected 41 points at Perry Field House in Bowling Green, Ohio to finish sixth out of twelve at the meet.

Four Flyers posted their career bests in the shot put event alone. Molly McCarty (39-11.25), Candace McKinley (38-11.25), Micailah Brock (36-08.25), and Jessica Schulte (29-03.25), all set personal bests. Teammate Amy Kremer tied her career best throw in the same event at 36-08.50.

Kremer, Brock, and Schulte also had strong performances in the pentathlon. Kremer paced the way to her fastest 800 meter time of the season at 2:34.52. She also tied her personal record in the 60 meter hurdles (9.87). Brock wasn't far behind her fellow teammate in the 800 meter speeding up her time to 2:33.09. Schulte raised the bar with her overall performance. The sophomore posted a career record in the pentathlon with 2,658 points, set a personal record in the 60 meter hurdles (9.75) and had her season best leap in the long jump at 15-06.25.

Also in the jumps, Andrea Funk (36-08.50) and Briona Gresham (35-01.75) posted personal records in the triple jump to place sixth and tenth, respectively.

Senior Liz Forster and sophomore Lisa Aubry kept up their record-breaking ways as the two set their career bests in the 400 meter dash. Forster finished fourth running in 59.14 as her teammate followed in sixth place crossing the finish line at 59.72. The pair recorded school records in the 500 meter run last week.

Freshman Lauren McCormick placed fourth in the 60 meter dash (7.74), while Brittany Thomas followed right behind for fifth place (7.81). The two teammates also recorded top 10 finishes in the 200 meter event. McCormick (25.95) and Thomas (26.33) went fifth and seventh, respectively.

The 4x4 relay team of Stacy Chew, Emma Steinmetz, Aubry and Forster posted a 3:59.71 time for third place. In the distance medley relay, Dayton's team of Olivia Conlon, Angela Conlon, India Moss, and Anne Oltman ran in 13:20.41.

Other Flyers showed tremendous improvement at the All-Ohio meet. Allison Smith set a best time in the 5000 meter run of 20:24.54. Bridget Conlon and Angela Conlon went 2:25.27 and 2:29.67, respectively in the 800 meter event. Emily Deet and Dianne Striebel recorded season bests in the 3000 meter run. The pair finished in 10:56.65 and 11:13.59 to take home 14th and 17th, respectively.

In addition, Briona Gresham leapt a season best in the long jump (16-01.50) and in the weight throw, McCarty, who also recorded a personal record in the shot put earlier in the day, had her best throw of the year (42-00.50). Teammate Katie DeVault posted a sixth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 10-08.00.

The Flyers will travel to Kingston, Rhode Island for the Atlantic 10 Championships on February 17.
