Results

Cedarville, OH - The Flyers competed in the Cedarville Invitational on Friday and brought home several medals and personal records. The team came in second overall at the event with a score of 102 points.

Freshman Amy Kremer took first place in the high jump with a height of 5'7.75". This was not only her personal best, but it also beat the school record and the Cedarville Field House Record. Kremer also exceeded her personal bests in the shot put with a toss of 32'7.50" and in the 55 m hurdles with a 9.45.

Andrea Cornell also competed in the 55 m hurdles and finished in fourth place with a 9.40.

Stacia Harold and Micella Davis competed in the 55 m dash. Harold came in third with a career best of 7.32 and Davis came in fourth with a 7.65.

The 4x800 relay team took first in their event. Ellen Nienhaus, Anne Oltman, Dianne Striebel, and Sydney Hubbard won with a combined time of 10:07.57.

The 4x200 relay "B" team (Lisa Aubry, India Moss, Kylene Guerra, and Stacy Chew) took second with a finish of 1:47.39. The "A" team (Micella Davis, Liz Forster, Lindsey Brown, and Stacia Harold) was right behind in third place with a time of 1:47.68.

Senior Kelly Pohlman placed second in both of her events. She threw a toss of 54'6" in the weight throw and a toss of 44'4.25" in the shot put. Sophomore Connie Fleming reached a personal best in the weight throw with a distance of 44'6", putting her in fifth place. She also competed in the shot put and came in sixth.

Other Flyers who set new records were Lisa Aubry, Ellen Nienhaus, and Amanda Tucker. Aubry set a personal record in the 200 m dash with a time of 27.14 and placed seventh. Nienhaus ran her season's best in the 800 m run with a time of 2:30.54 and came in fourth. Tucker also ran her season's best in the 5000 m run, placing fourth with a time of 19:26.12.

The Flyers are set to compete at the All-Ohio Indoor Championship in Findlay on February 11.
