Liz Forster finishes first in the 600m run

Bowling Green - The University of Dayton women's indoor track team placed fourth at this Friday's Bowling Green Invitational. Senior Kelly Pohlman brought home two of the team's three gold medals.

Pohlman once again finished first in both of her events. She threw a distance of 56-06.00 in the weight throw and 45-04.25 in the shot put, earning ten points each for her team.

Junior Liz Forster brought home the team's other gold medal in the 600m run. She finished with a time of 1:40.60. Forster also competed in the 4x400 relay with Lisa Aubry, Stacy Chew, and Tara Hentgen. The team came in fourth with a time of 4:05.70.

Newcomer Amy Kremer earned a silver medal in the high jump with a height of 5-05.00. She also competed in the preliminaries for the 60m hurdles, the long jump (15-08.25), and the shot put (31-04.00).

Junior Emily Haas finished ninth in the 3000m run with a time of 10:58.97. She placed in the top half of her event.

Other team members who earned points for the team's total score were: Lindsey Brown (60m dash), Andrea Cornell (60m hurdles), Stacy Chew (400m dash), Megan Sweeney (high jump), and Tara Hentgen (triple jump).

The Flyers will continue preparing for their next meet, the Rod McCravy Memorial, in Lexington, KY on January 27 and 28.
