(CROSS COUNTRY) Brigitte Sherman, part of a standout sophomore class, helped the Flyers reach unprecedented levels of success in 2008. Among the steadiest members of the team, Sherman scored for Dayton at every meet during the fall season. Sherman started off the year with a 14th place finish at the Meijer Flyer 5K and built on that success by lowering her time in each of the next three races. After an eighth place finish at the Queen City Invitational - where UD took second as a team - she ran a personal best time of 18:26 at the Greater Louisville Classic, finishing 38th and helping UD to a sixth place team finish. Her time of 18:56 at the Atlantic 10 Championships also helped to propel the Flyers to their best team finish (third) ever at the conference meet.
