(CROSS COUNTRY) Lindsey Cummings was able to step in and contribute right away for the Flyers during her rookie season, as the freshman finished amongst the top seven Flyers seven times in all eight races. Cummings posted a season best time of 19:09 at the Greater Louisville Classic, where she placed 96th overall in a tough pack of runners. Her best finish of the year came at the Queen City Invitational, where she ran to a 15th place finish, which helped Dayton take second as a team.
(INDOOR) She competed in the one mile run four times...Ran a personal record time of 5:17.15 at the Akron Zips Invitational, finishing seventh... Finished fourth with a time of 5:18.70 at the Bowling Green State University Jane Herman Invitational...Participated in the 800 meter, placing tenth at the Indiana Open (2:29.07)... Lindsey also competed in the 3,000 meter run at Kent State (10:57.94).
(OUTDOOR) Participated in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a time of 11:31.60, and at the Pepsi Florida Relays with a time of 12:05.82... At the Early Bird Relays, ran a 4:55.76 in the 1,500 meter run, taking seventh place... Also finished ninth in the 5,000 meter run at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational (18:54.25).
High School
In cross country was named All-Conference and All-Region her junior and senior years...Voted cross country team's "hardest worker"...Named All-Region, All-State, and All-American in track, also during her junior and senior seasons...Was a member of the 4x8 relay team that won gold at the Div. I State Championships...Four-year honor roll member at Saline High School.
