2008-2009
(CROSS COUNTRY) Maureen Bulgrin had, perhaps, the best season in the history of Flyer women's cross country during the fall of 2008. Part of a standout sophomore class, the second-year runner was named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week three times (Sept. 8, Sept. 22, and Oct. 13), and led the team in seven of eight races - finishing second only in the season opening Meijer Flyer 5K, where she placed tenth overall. Bulgrin also netted five top ten finishes throughout the course of the season and logged the 11th best time in program history (17:56) at the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 4. She took tenth overall at the Atlantic 10 Championships to earn All-Conference honors for the first time. For her efforts, Bulgrin was given the White-Allen Most Valuable Runner award by the Flyer coaches.
(INDOOR)Took first at the Kent State Field House in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:46.54... Also finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championship (17:37.71)... Ran a time of 5:05.39 in the mile at the Indiana Open, good for fourth place... In the 3,000 meter run, took first at the Akron Zips Invitational with a seasonal best time of 10:00.84...Placed fifth at the Atlantic 10 Championship (10:03.54).
(OUTDOOR) Competed in the Cedarville Challenge following the regular season where she broke the school and meet record in the 5,000 meter run and was just one second shy of qualifying for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship (16:53.00)... Ran 17:02.10 at the All-Ohio Championships, landing her in second place...Had a third place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship (17:02.69)... Took first place at the Pepsi Florida Relays with a time of 17:38.44... Competed in the 1500 two times during the season...Ran a 4:32.67 at the Stan Lyons Invitational, good for fourth place... Ran the 800 meter run at the Oiler Nikoloff Invitational taking seventh place (2:20.25)... Also a member of the 4x800 meter relay team that took second place at the Atlantic 10 Championship, breaking the school record (8:55.04).
2007-2008
(INDOOR) Finished first at the ONU Friday Night Series in the one mile run (5:19.78)....Recorded a career best in the 3000 meter run (10:16.44) finishing seventh at the Atlantic 10 Championship...Had her highest finish of the season at Findlay running 10:36.51 in the same event.
(OUTDOOR) Recorded a career best in the 3000 meter run (10:18.25) finishing seventh at the Hillsdale Relays for the fastest time of the season by a Flyer....Recorded a career best in the 5000 meter run (17:55.09) finishing 12th at the Atlantic 10 Championship.
(CROSS COUNTRY) Maureen Bulgrin made a huge impact for UD as a freshman. She finished first on the team in each of the first three races. Her spectacular season was highlighted by a finish of 18:15 at the Greater Louisville Invitational, placing her sixth on the all-time Flyer 5K Personal Bests list. Bulgrin placed in the top 20 overall at the Flyer 5K and the National Catholic Invite.
