Borchers, from Versailles High School, comes to UD as a standout discus and shot put thrower... As a junior, Borchers placed sixth at the state meet in the shot put and ninth in discus... Prior to that, she was regional champion in the shot put and earned First Team All-Conference honors... She comes from a reputable Versailles program which has won Division III regionals three years in a row and placed third at the state meet in 2007... Her personal best in the discus event is 132-11.00 and her furthest throw in the shot put stands at 42-04.00... Another well-rounded competitor, Borchers lettered for two years on the Versailles volleyball and swim teams.
