DETROY NAMED TO ATLANTIC 10 ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

2006-07 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Teams in PDF Format PHILADELPHIA - Junior women's tennis player Allysa Detroy from the University of Dayton was named the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team on Tuesday following a vote by the conference's sports information offices. Detroy, a junior from Evansville, Indiana, is majoring in Spanish and holds a 3.95 cumulative GPA. She tallied an 11-14 record in singles action this Spring while playing primarily at second singles. Detroy was also 9-15 while teaming up with senior Kate Mellion at first doubles to help UD finish in 11th place at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championships. Dayton has had one women's tennis player selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team in five of the last six seasons. In order to be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors in the Atlantic 10 an athlete must be in his or her second year at that institution and hold at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. |
