WOMEN'S TENNIS FACES TOUGH COMPETITION AT QUEEN CITY INVITATIONAL

The University of Dayton women's tennis team completed day one of the Queen City Invitational tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday. Flight A Doubles partners Loni Dickerhoof and Julie Kirkland advanced through the first round with a bye and look to face Cincinnati's Ismail/Wise duo in the Quarterfinal Round on Saturday. Senior Molly Mathews picked up a win, defeating Bradley University's Kennedy Scott in Flight C Singles (2-6, 6-4, 6-4). Julie Kirkland defeated Ball State's Johnson in Flight A Singles (7-5; 6-1). The Flyers will look to regain momentum on Saturday in the remaining rounds of the tournament.
