DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell victim to a 7-0 sweep by Youngstown State on Sunday. The bright spot for UD was a convincing victory at #1 doubles from senior Kate Mellion and junior Allysa Detroy.

The duo of Mellion and Detroy combined for its eighth win together this spring with an 8-1 win over Emily Thayer and Michelle Fulkey.

YSU took all seven of the doubles matches, although the Flyers forced three contests into a third set. Mellion, Detroy and sophomore Nikki Dzubay each went the distance before falling in the third.

Dayton is back in action on Tuesday, April 3 in Fairborn, Ohio to battle the Wright State Raiders at 3:00 p.m.
