BEARCATS CLAW OUT 5-2 VICTORY OVER FLYERS

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Dayton women's tennis team took the court for the first time in two weeks Saturday, falling to Cincinnati 5-2. The win marked the first victory of the season for the Bearcats. The Flyers fell to 6-7 on the spring following a three match win streak prior to Saturday's contest. UD sophomore Allysa Detroy won her third straight match at #1 singles. She defeated Lindsay Wileford in three sets 3-6, 6-2, 6-0. Freshman Carrie Trigilio took over as the team leader in victories this spring after notching her eighth win at #6 singles over Carrie Arundel 6-0, 6-1. Dayton will try to even its record Tuesday at 2:30 against Xavier in Cincinnati. |
