The women's tennis team capped off its spring break trip to Orlando, Fl with a 6-1 win over Siena on Wednesday. Freshman Chelsea Glankler and sophomore Molly Mathews each won 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches to lead Dayton. The Flyers went 2-1 on the trip to improve to 6-10 this spring.

For the second day in a row, Mathews was victorious 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles. On Wednesday she cruised past Jennifer Messing, while Glankler blanked Lauren Garbade at No. 4.

Senior Megan Gray and junior Nikki Dzubay each gave up only one game in their singles matches. Gray defeated Jessica Asselin 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, while Dzubay dominated Dinka Keric 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.

Freshman Laina Grote also tallied a singles win as she came from behind to beat Karina Davis 0-6, 6-4, 11-9 at No. 2.

The Flyers handily swept the doubles point as well. Detroy and Gray paired up to defeat Davis and Asselin 8-2 at No.1. Dzubay and freshman Kelly O'Connell downed Mayer and Garbade 8-3 at No. 2, and Grote and Mathews trampled Messing/Finnerty 8-2 at No. 3.

Dayton is off until Friday, March 28 when they travel to Pittsburgh, PA to face Atlantic 10 opponent Duquesne. Match time is 5 p.m. ET.
