HILTON HEAD, SC - Junior Allysa Detroy became the first Flyer to reach double digits in singles victories this spring in a 5-2 win over Niagara on Thursday to finish play in Hilton Head, SC. Dayton finished its spring break trip at 3-1 and are now 4-13 overall.

Senior Kate Mellion cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Vanja Lakic to anchor the Dayton lineup at #1 singles. Junior Allysa Detroy (10-7) and sophomore Nikki Dzubay followed suit by posting straight-set wins of their own at #2 and #4.

Mellion and Detroy finished the spring break trip with three singles wins in four tries.

Junior Megan Gray was forced to a third set before pulling out the win.

The Flyers had little trouble in the doubles matches, earning a sweep over Niagara.

Following a week off, the Flyers will begin Atlantic 10 play against Duquesne on March 24 in Dayton, Ohio. Match time is slated for 1 p.m. EST.
