The women's tennis team rounded out a five-match homestand on Thursday with a 5-2 loss to Detroit at Dayton Center Courts. Freshman Chelsea Glankler and sophomore Molly Mathews posted singles wins for the Flyers, but UD fell to 4-8 this spring.

After being swept in doubles, Dayton looked to rally on the singles courts. At No. 4 singles, Glankler defeated Erin Weldon 6-2, 6-4, while Mathews was victorious at No. 6 over Amy Inman, 6-1, 6-2.

However, Detroit (5-7) held serve on the remaining courts. Senior Megan Gray and Allysa Detroy (last week's Atlantic 10 Player of the Week) had a two-match win streak snapped at No. 1 doubles with an 8-3 loss.

UD will travel to Altamonte Springs, FL on a spring break trip to play three matches next week. The Flyers will begin play with a match against Long Island on Monday, March 17 at 8 a.m.
