Junior Allysa Detroy won her fifth singles match in her last six tries as the UNC Wilmington Seahawks knocked off the Dayton women's tennis team, 5-2, on Tuesday at Dayton Center Courts. Sophomore Nikki Dzubay recorded UD's second point by posting her third singles win in her last four matches.

Detroy pulled out a 7-6(5), 7-5 victory at #2 singles over UNCW's Kayla Schwenk, bumping her spring record to 7-6.

Dzubay dropped the first set at #4, but was able to improve her singles record to 5-8 on the year.

The Flyers were swept in doubles.

Dayton (1-12) will play four matches next week over spring break in Hilton Head, S.C. Play begins for the Flyers on Tuesday, March 13 with a double-header against Tiffin and Bucknell, beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST.
