Hamilton, OH - The University of Dayton women's tennis team improved to 5-6 overall this spring with a 5-2 win over Murray State in Hamilton on Saturday. The Flyers lost the doubles point, but Megan Gray and Carrie Trigilio each recorded their team-best sixth victory this season. Allysa Detroy anchored the team with her third win at #1 singles.

Detroy took the first set 6-4 and was leading in the second 1-0 before Murray State's Rachael Lask retired from the match. Reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Nikki Dzubay won handily at #3 singles, defeating Anne Pennington 6-4, 6-0.

Gray's victory came at #4 singles, a 6-3, 6-3 defeat of Adriana Alvarez. Andrea Muresan was also a winner in straight sets at #5, chipping in with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Trigilio's win at #6 came by default.

Dzubay and Gray paired up in the doubles draw for a 9-8(4) win at #2. UD lost the doubles matches at #1 and #3.

The Flyers return to Dayton Center Courts on Friday at 1:00 PM to host Morehead State.
