CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Dayton women's tennis team could not hold on after capturing the doubles point against Cleveland State on Friday, as the Flyers suffered a 4-3 defeat at River Oaks Racquet Club in Cleveland. Reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Allysa Detroy remained on top of her game with a pair of wins in the match.

Detroy teamed with senior Kate Mellion at #1 doubles for an 8-4 win against Galon/Muntean. Sophomores Nikki Dzubay and Mackenzie Hoops also tallied an 8-4 triumph at #2 doubles to put UD on the board first.

In singles, Detroy won her fourth consecutive match, defeating Denisa Muntean 6-1, 2-6, 6-3. The triumph improved her overall record to 6-5.

Dzubay also tallied a singles win at #4 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Lindsey Sellers.

Dayton (1-10) returns home Saturday to host Michigan State after wrapping up a six-match road trip on Friday. Match time with the Spartans is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. at Dayton Center Courts.
