Senior Kate Mellion and junior Allysa Detroy each tallied two victories for the Flyers in Sunday's 5-2 win against the Oakland Grizzlies in Oakland, MI. It was Dayton's first win of the season as they improved to 1-8 overall.

The Flyers took two of three doubles matches to capture the opening point. Mellion and Detroy teamed up at #1 doubles for an 8-4 win, while sophomores Nikki Dzubay and Mackenzie Hoops paired together for an 8-5 victory at #2.

In singles, Mellion and Detroy were also victorious. Mellion pulled out a three-set match at #1, defeating Teuta Lulgjuraj 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Detroy earned her team-leading fourth singles win of the year at #2 with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Lisa Lulgjuraj.

Sophomore Megan Gray also posted a straight sets win at #3, while freshman Erin Wilkie gutted out a three-set victory at #6.

UD is back in action Sunday at Detroit. Match time is 12:00 p.m. EST.
